Here's how to set up Breakouts in 3 steps
Step 1: Click the 'New Breakout' button

Choose whether you want to create the Breakout Rooms - allowing participants to move freely between rooms - or split participants up into set groups, automagically. ✨
a) Breakout Rooms
b) Breakout Groups
Step 2a) Setting up your Breakout Rooms:
Breakout Rooms can be created and left empty ahead, then participants can be assigned during your live session. Set up a Breakout Room preset before your workshop to make the in-workshop setup swift and easy!
To assign participants manually, simply drag-n-drop participants into the rooms, as shown below!

📹 Watch the video tutorial for assigning participants with drag-n-drop!
You'll also want to give each breakout room a unique name and description, to ensure that participants can identify which one they belong to.

Step 2b) Setting up your Breakout Groups:
Breakout Groups are useful for quickly and randomly splitting your participants into equal-sized groups (or pairs!) without much thought. These formations can also be determined ahead and saved as presets to swiftly launch during a workshop.
To split up, simply define the group size and everything else is done for you, as shown below!

Use the 'Name Groups' drop-down to select a theme and your groups will automatically be named within any theme you pick! This quickly and conveniently takes all the extra thinking out of breaking out, so you can save your brainpower for the real thinking. 😉
Step 3: Start your breakout session or save it for later
Save for later will save your Breakout preset, making it available at any time during your current and future sessions. Starting breakouts will take you only 2 swift clicks.
Start Breakout will immediately launch your session, notifying all participants that the Groups are forming or that they'll be taken to their assigned Rooms.
Editing your Breakout setup
You will most likely find yourself creating your breakout rooms prior to starting your sessions. Fortunately, they aren't carved in stone and you can edit them and make changes at any time.

During: Joining breakout rooms

View the Breakout overview by clicking the button to join a breakout room if you weren't assigned to one, or to move to a different room from the one you were originally assigned.
Ending your breakout sessions
This will start a 10-second countdown to help everyone wrap up and get ready to be automatically pulled out of their breakout rooms and back to the main room.
